It depends on the type of material used for the filling. Previously the gold standard was dental amalgam, due to decades of longevity. Nowadays there are many newer materials like composite resin and GIC that can be used for fillings without the attendant problems of dental amalgam. These fillings typically last somewhere between 3 to 10 years depending on the kind of material, the clinical expertise of the clinician and, probably, more importantly the maintenance of the filling by the patient.
It is good to know that these newer materials are very safe and have no deleterious effect on your health.
At Total Dental Care Clinic, be rest assured that we use only high quality materials for our fillings. Our dentists are well trained and experienced in the clinical procedures. You are in safe hands!
The short answer is none. All the major brands of toothpastes are perfectly capable of cleaning your teeth. However there are some special brands or products that have certain added agents that can be of help in some conditions, such as sensitivity, Bad breath and gum disease.
It is our advice that you pay us a visit, let the dentist have a look at your teeth and see if there is a special toothpaste recommendation for you.
Mild discomfort is not unexpected with tooth bleaching due to the reaction of the bleaching agent with your teeth, especially for patients with tooth wear lesions. The UV light that is sometimes used for the activation of the bleaching agent can also produce heat that may cause some irritation of the gum.
Whether mild sensitivity, pain or discomfort, we have modalities of managing such problems.
If you have phobia for dental clinic, there is no need to panic. There is a have a solution for you. We have a team of experienced staff that can allay your fear and get you ready for treatment. It helps to know that all our treatment procedures are completely painless as well.

For a tooth to be extracted, it must meet some clinical criteria (indications), whichd should be determined after clinical examination by your dentist. Usually there are treatment options available for painful teeth, like root canal treatment (RCT), etc
