Dental FAQs

How can I make an appointment?

All you have to do is give us a call, tell us the date and time you intend to visit and it is all done. Alternatively, fill an appointment or contact form with the date and time details, and other relevant information. We will reach out to you with your appointment details.

How much does a consultation cost?

At total Dental Care Clinic, consultation fee depends on the problem you want to solve. Regular checkup and braces consultation have different costs for instance. All you need to know is that our prices are fair. Come with an open mind!

Can I get the cost of treatment before coming?

We don't discuss treatment costs, or anything related to finance before your first visit. It's important that the doctor sees the patient, assesses the  problem and makes a proper diagnosis and treatment plan before discussing price. This is the standard protocol of our clinic.

Do you offer Insurance?

At the moment, we have a retainership agreement with some companies. We are open to collaborations with other HMOs in the future. We are arranging an insurance package for families. This will be available soon.

Where is the clinic located?

We are located Along Rukpokwu-Igwuruta Airport Road, By Greater Evangelism Headquarter Church, (Close to see for eye police checkpoint and salvation ministries), Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt.

How often do I visit the dentist

World Health Organization (WHO) recommends about 12-24 months for patients with low caries risk and good oral hygiene. For persons who find it difficult to keep rigorous oral hygiene maintenance schedule, it should be every 6 months. For heavy smokers and people with certain medical conditions that prevent them from properly brushing and flossing daily (patients with stroke or other neurological deficit), it can be as frequently as every 3 months.

Do I need to be referred by a doctor?

Not at all! You can walk into the clinic anytime you have a dental problem or you need any dental service. We also do accept referrals from doctors, pharmacies, lab scientists and any other referrer. We strongly recommend that you plan a periodic visit for routine checkup.

What payment options do you offer?

We accept cash, card, POS, direct bank transfer etc. We also accept instalments made in advance of treatment (when you don't have enough money to cover the treatment upfront), for elective procedures.

What should I do in case of emergency?

Call our line immediately and/or come to the clinic. Early diagnosis and treatment of any conditions, particularly dental trauma and pain, always yield better outcome.
