Do you suffer from crooked or scattered teeth?

Braces and clear aligners are options for teeth alignment!

Discription

Braces consists of brackets, arch wires and ligatures like elastic bands, used together as a unit for the alignment of scattered teeth. This is followed by periodic visits, usually every four to six weeks, when the arch wires and other attachments are changed or replaced to keep the necessary amount of force on the teeth leading to bone remodelling and tooth movement.

Traditional Metal Braces

This is the most widespread type of braces. It makes use of metal brackets and archwires. The main disadvantage of this type of braces os that it silver or grayish coloured and as such is visible to onlooker when the patient opens the mouth. It is the cheaper option when considering braces, hence the widespread adoption of this type

Invisible Braces

Clear Aligners, Lingual Braces And Ceramic Braces

Invisalin

This is a type of clear aligner that makes use of computer software smile design using data obtained from the intraoral scan of the patient's mouth. The desired tooth movement and positioning are simulated with the software and a number of occlusal splints are then 3D printed, each geared towards moving the teeth to the predetermined position from the first to the final, which is also used as a retainer.

Lingual Braces

This is a type of the most invisible type of braces. The brackets, arch wires and other athhachments are positioned on the lingual or tongue side of the mouth rather than the facial outer side as in the regular type.

Ceramic Braces

This is braces that make use of ceramic brackets rather that the traditional metal brackets. .even thou it is less visible, it is not completely invisible. is can be noticed from a close range. Invisible braces contribute to esthetic appeal and are more expensive compared to the traditional type.
